Welcome to our first post: KASTAL is launched!

Welcome all, it's been a busy six months at the new Kastal studio and we're proud to launch the new site! A co-founding between Steven Weinberg, Sharon Oleksiak, and myself, Gene Fontaine, the new company is focused on continuing Steven's studio art tradition, growing our corporate/foundation award and gift giving programs (base on a model we did for Microsoft), and branching into new commercial markets. Sharons been busy working on a line of jewelry, accessories, and boutique gifts and we've also collaborated with Del Priori designs in New York to develop a line of architectural tiles inspired by Steven's art. Coming soon will be an online store for some of our beautiful crystal paperweights and decor items, new art releases, and an opening of the "vault", select vintage Weinberg pieces that will be offered to interested collectors through a new ebay presence. Please opt in to our email subscriber list so we can keep you posted and let you know when the new products are released. In the blog, I'll be keeping people acquainted with our progress and ruminating on glass, philosophy, and all things Kastal. I want to thank everyone whose been showing their support for us and all the good feedback we've been receiving, it really helps ... thanks! A word about the new studio art pieces: they're really beautiful! Under Steven's direction, the studio is really taking it to another level and I love the modern bubble themes .. the pictures speak for themselves. Another highlight are the new smaller scale cubes that truly leverage the Weinberg tradition and should allow new collectors a golden opportunity to own a studio glass classic. We really hope you enjoy the new branding and fresh approach as much as we do .. please comment and let us know what you think.
